Daikin Marks a Century of Innovation and Sustainability in the HVAC Industry

Daikin, a world leader in air conditioning and heating technologies, is proud to announce the celebration of its 100th anniversary. Since its founding in 1924, Daikin has been at the forefront of creating innovative, energy-efficient solutions that have shaped the HVAC industry.

Akira Yamada, a young Japanese engineer, founded Osaka Kinzoku Kogyosho Ltd., marking the beginning of Daikin history with the manufacture of aircraft radiator tubes.

Throughout its century-long journey, Daikin has remained committed to advancing technology and sustainability. The company has been a pioneer in developing products that reduce environmental impact, such as the introduction of energy-efficient air conditioning systems and the adoption of environmentally friendly refrigerants.

The centennial celebrations highlight Daikin's achievements in innovation, such as the creation of the first split and multi-split air conditioners, and leading the industry in the development of inverter technology. Daikin's dedication to research and development has positioned the company as a global leader in the HVAC+R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration) markets.

As part of the centennial celebrations, Daikin is looking forward to the future with a renewed focus on addressing climate change, enhancing energy efficiency, and contributing to a sustainable society. The company is dedicated to continuing its legacy of innovation by investing in next-generation technologies that will lead the HVAC industry towards a greener, more efficient future.

Daikin invites its partners, customers, and the global community to join in commemorating this significant milestone. The company is hosting a series of events and initiatives throughout the year to celebrate its history, achievements, and vision for the future.
