LFB Group invests in Portugal’s KoolSys

LFB Group has made a strategic investment in SKK Manufacturing, the Portuguese company operating under the KoolSys brand. The transaction adds KoolSys’s expertise in transcritical CO2 rack systems for commercial and industrial refrigeration to the group’s portfolio.

KoolSys has worked with FRIGA-BOHN since 2023 on several transcritical CO2 refrigeration projects. LFB Group said the investment will combine KoolSys’s design and manufacturing capabilities with the group’s industrial resources, market reach and existing product portfolio.

The investment strengthens LFB Group’s activities in natural refrigerant technologies and supports its plans to develop a more integrated HVAC and refrigeration platform across Europe.

KoolSys will join Redge — formerly Lennox Europe — FRIGA-BOHN, Apx DCS and Hydronic within LFB Group.
