AHT Launches CO2 Variant of VENTO Multideck for Sustainable Retail Cooling

AHT Cooling Systems has introduced a new CO₂ version of its established VENTO multideck cabinet, expanding its product range with a focus on energy efficiency and environmental responsibility. The multideck unit, first launched in 2016, has been widely used in supermarkets and discount stores around the world.

The new variant uses CO₂ (R744) as a refrigerant, aligning with current regulatory trends and environmental goals. It is compatible with standard CO₂ compressors and the Daikin ZEAS system. According to AHT, the unit maintains temperature stability across a wide range and includes automatic defrosting for consistent product quality.

The VENTO CO₂ version retains the core features of the original, including a broad display area and multiple configurations to suit different retail formats - from convenience stores to hypermarkets. A key addition is the system’s ability to utilize waste heat, which can be repurposed to heat store interiors or support water heating, contributing to energy savings.

Around 100,000 VENTO units have been sold globally, and AHT emphasizes that the new CO₂ option is an extension of a proven solution. The unit supports both sustainability and operational efficiency goals in the retail refrigeration sector.

AHT Cooling Systems also offers complete refrigeration and freezing solutions, including project planning, installation, service, and maintenance. Its product range features natural refrigerants such as R290 (propane) and R744 (CO₂), in line with the EU F-Gas Regulation.

The company states that the CO₂ VENTO variant strengthens its commitment to offering future-ready systems that meet both customer needs and regulatory standards.
